My work is about sex, death, sacrifice, transcendence, and the body in all its beauty. Through various techniques similar to Salvador Dali’s Paranoiac Critical Method, and Austin Osman Spare’s Resurgent Atavism, I use acrylic, pencil, and gel mediums to access what is called the “Mauve Zone,” that place between sleeping and waking where all the archetypes and myths of the species are stored. The figures in these works are totems, symbolic of the power of the cosmos, and that power reconciled within our bodies and minds in what is called Zos Kia. My work is in service to the Typhonian Tradition and the spiritual philosophy known as Thelema.
